Symbol-Quest 2013

The Symbol-Quest Challenge begins July 4, 2013!

In 2012, upon the release of my first book The 13^th Enumeration, many tried to solve the Pearl Street Challenge. That contest was such a success, I am announcing another contest for the release of Book II: The 13^th Prime: Deciphering the Jubilee Code.

The new contest is called the Symbol-Quest Challenge. This year the cash prize is $500.

Here is how the contest works: Hidden throughout the Kindle version of my new book The 13^th Prime: Deciphering the Jubilee Code are 13 symbols. One of those symbols is key to my next book: The 13^th Symbol: Rise of the Enlightened One.

There are three ways to win:

1. Be one of the first three contestants to guess the identity of the 13^thSymbol and I will send you a signed copy of The 13^th Enumeration. (No purchase is necessary to participate in this part of the contest.)

2. Find all 13 symbols in the Kindle version of my upcoming book The 13^th Prime: Deciphering the Jubilee Code, and identity which one is the 13^th Symbol. (The 13^th Prime should be released in September) Three prizes will be awarded for this part of the contest:

* First Prize: A signed copy of Books I, II & III. (Book III, The 13th Symbol: Rise of the Enlightened One will be awarded upon publication)
* Second Prize: A signed copy of Books I & II
* Third Prize: A signed copy of Book II

In order to win you must provide a brief description of each symbol and the chapter where you found it. Your answers must be posted to the contest page of my blog here: The Symbol-Quest Challenge.

3. Each person who finds all 13 symbols and correctly identifies which one is the 13^th Symbol will be entered into the grand prize drawing for a chance to win $500! On December 31, 2013, one name will be randomly drawn to determine the winner of the cash prize. (Only those who post the correct answers to the contest page of my blog will be entered to win the $500 cash prize.

1. Entry: The Symbol-Quest Challenge will begin on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 13:13 PM Mountain Standard Time and ends on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 13:13 PM Mountain Standard Time.

Only one guess per contestant is allowed. Automated entry devices are prohibited. Robotic, automatic, mechanical, programmed or similar entry duplication methods are prohibited and will disqualify any individual using such a method. Only valid entries posted to the contest page of my blog will be considered.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS: The Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia 18 years of age or older at time of entry. The Contest is subject to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. Book prizes will be awarded to international contestants subject to legal restrictions.

3. PRIZES: Prizes to be awarded as outlined above. There will be 1 winner of the cash prize giveaway (assuming the correct answer is given). No substitution will be given.

4. SELECTION OF WINNERS AND PRIZE NOTIFICATION: Winners will be selected from eligible entries based upon the date of entry, and notified by email, within 3 business days of close of the Contest. The earliest dated entrants to give the correct answer will be deemed the Winner of the book prizes. The Grande Prize of $500.00 will be drawn randomly from eligible entrants. (Book prizes may be delayed due to publication schedule.) Winner selection will be done by William Struse or authorized agents. If any winner notification remains unanswered for more than five (5) business days, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety. The cash prize will only be delivered to addresses within the United States and Puerto Rico.

5. CONDITIONS: By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. By participating in the Contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize. Released Parties are not responsible for: electronic transmissions or entries that are lost, late, stolen, incomplete, illegible, damaged, garbled, destroyed, misdirected or not received by the Sponsor or its agents for any reason, including but not limited to technical malfunctions, human error that may occur in the transmission or processing of entries, software or hardware failure, telecommunication errors, or any technical malfunction; whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in this contest, or by any human error which may occur in the execution of this contest.

If for any reason this Contest cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to infection by tampering, fraud, computer virus, unauthorized intervention, technical failures of any kind, or any other causes beyond the control of the Released Parties that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or modify the Contest. If the Contest is terminated before the original end date, William Struse or his agents will select the winners by random drawing from among all eligible online entries received as of the termination time and date. William Struse reserves the right, at his sole discretion, to disqualify and prosecute any individual who tampers with or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the participating parties’ websites or who enters using any automatic or programmed entry duplication method that is prohibited under these rules.
